Allah
also says:
[
And let not the disbelievers think that Our postponing of their punishment is
good for them. We postpone the punishment only so that they may increase in
sinfulness. And for them is a disgracing torment. ]
(Al-Imran :178).
The Prophet (pbuh) also says:
"If you see Allah grant a servant of this world, despite of his
disobediences, whatever he likes, it is but to bring him gradually". Then, the Prophet
recited Allah's words:
[
So, when they forgot (the
warning) with which they had been reminded, We
opened for them the gates of every (pleasant) thing, until in the midst for
their enjoyment in that which they were given, all of a sudden, We took them (in
punishment), and lo! They were plunged into destruction with deep regrets
and sorrows.] (Al-An’am:
44)
(reported
by Ahmad, Al Tabarany & Ibn Aby Addunya)
The
much of money has nothing to be evidence with whether this money is blessed or
not. Wealth can bring unhappiness to its owner. Many time we hear about
people
who own palaces and wealth but their life in misery, depression,
illness and distress.
My brethren, the point is that the ordeals Allah
All-Mighty inflicts us with, are not a sign that Allah is not pleased with us.
On the contrary, it is a harbinger of goodness, if we were patient and pious.
For such ordeals shake us to test our faith and forgive our sins.
