indeed was that for which they sold their ownselves, if they but knew. ] (Al-Baqarah :102).

               This is "Solomon" the son of David. Allah granted His Prophet Solomon an unprecedented kingdom which is not granted to anyone after him. Moreover, Allah distinguished Solomon with some extraordinary abilities. Allah subdued the wind to be under Solomon's control. He could direct the wind to carry rain wherever he wanted… Allah also taught Prophet Solomon the language of birds… The Jinn also were under Solomon's control. He recruited the jinn, with Allah's permission, to get him the treasures of the seas and work anything for him.  As Allah All-Mighty says: "[ So, We subjected to him the wind; it blew gently by his order whithersoever he willed, * And also the Shayatin (devils) from the jinn (including) every kind of builder and diver, * And also others bound in fetters.]."(Sad: 36-38) Whoever disobeyed Prophet Solomon, of the jinn, Allah punished him with Hellfire, as Allah All-Mighty says: [ And whosoever of them turned aside from Our Command, We shall cause him to taste of the torment of the blazing Fire. ]"( Saba : 12) All these extraordinary capabilities enjoyed by Prophet Solomon, Peace be upon him, were granted him were true capabilities (Magic not) by Allah Who whenever He wills anything, says 'Be' and it exists… The abilities of Solomon have nothing to do with magic, sorcery or superstitions. Solomon, Peace be upon him, was never a sorcerer and never practiced any magic- Allah forbid. He never wrote talismans or invoked the jinn as the sorcerers of the disbelievers used to do. All what he had was granted him by Allah All-Mighty... Solomon used to order the jinn giants and they used to obey him, as Allah subjected them to serve
