One of the effects of magic is mania. The Prophet (pbuh) says in this regard:
"the Devil runs in the body of human like blood running."…
Thus, if a magician orders a devil to turn a person into a mad one, the
devil would infiltrate into this man's blood and run to his brain. There, he
controls man's behaviour and actions. Only then, man behaves in a weird way
and utters nonsense. In science, this is called the negative insinuated
effect. Allah says: [ Those
who eat Riba (usury)
will not stand (on the
Day of Resurrection)
except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaitan (Satan)
leading him to insanity. ]
(Al-Baqarah:275)
By
all means, those who resort to magicians, divines or fortune tellers are
disbelievers and have nothing to do with Islam… That is because he believe
that the magician can harm or benefit people, while these are capabilities
limited to Allah. Over and above, he who learns magic or sorcery is equally
a disbeliever, for Allah All-Mighty says: [But
neither of these two (angels)
taught anyone (such
things) till they had
said, “We are only for trial, so disbelieve not …]
Disbelieve not… Disbelieve not… Disbelieve not… !… This is a word to
be heeded by all the magicians and fortune tellers and those who frequent
them. Allah, Glory be to Him, says: [
That which they have made is only a magician’s trick, and the magician
will never be successful, to whatever amount (of
skill) he may attain”.]
(Ta-Ha:69)
And the Prophet (pbuh) who seeks the benefit and prosperity for his nation
also says: "He is not one of us whoever believes in omens or
releases an omen, he who is a divine or frequents them, he who administers
magic or believes in it." In another Hadith, the Prophet (pbuh)
says:
